Trade Analytics

WTPulse

A trade analytics application built using UN Comtrade data. It provides a structured way to explore imports, exports, products, trading partners and changes over time.

The project includes data ingestion, PostgreSQL modelling, API services, analytical calculations, a Flutter interface and deployment.
  • Explore historical imports, exports and trade balances.
  • Compare countries, trading partners and HS product groups.
  • Examine Product × Partner relationships rather than relying only on national totals.
  • Calculate measures including concentration, dependency, exposure and growth.
  • Keep methodology, coverage and source information available alongside the analysis.

Open-Source Database Tool

EDS

An open-source PostgreSQL migration tool for applying, reverting and inspecting database schema changes.

EDS manages ordered migration files and records database migration state so changes can be inspected or reverted.
  • Apply versioned PostgreSQL migrations.
  • Revert previously applied migrations.
  • Inspect current migration status and history.
  • Produce JSON output for scripts and other tools.
  • Keep migration state separate from application code.

Data, analytics and product work.

I work across data engineering, analytics and product development, particularly where the work involves complex datasets and user-facing analytical tools.

I am comfortable working with engineers, analysts and other stakeholders, and I like being close enough to the implementation to understand how the data, APIs and application fit together.

I am currently interested in data product and related roles in London, including work in financial services and other data-intensive organisations.
